Religion or Relationship...in the End Times
Okay, you have to admit that 'something' is happening all around you in the worldwide. You might be apathetic to earthquakes by now because they've been happening around the world for years.

But did you know that...

Everything God does is for a reason. He used His power over the elements to get Israel’s undivided attention and hopefully he's beginning to get your attention by the intensity and frequency of the earthquakes of this present time.  Revelation 6:14:  “and every mountain and island shall be moved out of their places."

Whatever happened to the good old days when people smiled at each other, or when the dollar had value, or people left their doors unlocked, or our elders were respected and revered, or antidotes actually worked on bacterial strains or viruses, or a hard-earned College degree stood for value and guaranteed a great job, or food was in abundance and neighbors shared whatever they had, or couples were faithful to each other and family values, I could go on and on.

Cold splash of reality, those days are goneMatthew 24:12: "And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold."

Life is going to become increasingly worse. The headlines may depress you now, but wait...it's going to get even worse!

 1. Apostasy

An apostate is someone who has once believed and then rejected the inerrant truth of God. The rejection of God is thought out and intentional. Apostasy is a rebellion against God because it is a rebellion against truth.

‘Let no one in any way deceive you, for it [Jesus' return] will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction’    (2 Thess. 2:3, NASB).

2 Timothy 3(KJV)

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts...
2.     Rapture

The rapture of the church. Christ comes in the clouds to “snatch away” all those who trust in Him (1 Corinthians 15:52).  It will happen suddenly, quicker than the blink of an eye. At the sound of the last trumpet the dead will be raised. We will all be changed, so that we will never die again.

I Thess 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord."

The rapture is imminent; no other biblical prophecy needs to be fulfilled before the rapture happens.

The Lord Jesus Himself will come to receive His own people unto Himself. These people received the Lord into their hearts as their Saviour while it was an unpopular thing to do here on earth. They believed in His name and were washed in His blood and received the authority or the right to be the children of God (John 1:12).
4.    Tribulation

30% of the scriptures tell us that God wants us to know what to expect.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7)

The tribulation. A period of seven years in which God’s judgment is poured out on sinful humanity (Revelation 6–16). The Antichrist’s rise to power is associated with this time period. During the tribulation on earth, the Church will be in heaven. It is thought that at this time the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will occur in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 19:6–10).

Matthew 24:21 ESV
"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be."

Throughout history, God used earthquakes to show His presence, His deliverance, His wrath, and His power. God will also use earthquakes in the future to announce Christ’s Return, accompany prophetic events, and reshape the earth’s surface.

"Dozens of savage hailstorms and tornadoes wreaked havoc across the U.S. so far this year, causing billions of dollars of damage and leading to the second-most disaster-laden season on record."

So far in 2017, the U.S. has endured 49 separate weather, climate and flood disasters, according to data from Munich Re, a global reinsurance firm.

Religion or Relationship in the End Times simply asks, are you practicing religious rituals or do you have a relationship (spend time with, get to know) God. I refer to the Bible throughout this book.

The Bible accurately foretells specific events-in detail-many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur!
5.    The Lawless One

2 Thessalonians 8: "and then the lawless one will be revealed. The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and will bring him to nothing with the brightness of His coming.

2 Thessalonians 9: "The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders, 10 and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved."
3.    The Rise of the Antichrist

After the church is taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8), a satanically empowered man will gain worldwide control with promises of peace (Revelation 13:1; Daniel 9:27).

He will be aided by another man, called the false prophet, who heads up a religious system that requires worship of the Antichrist (Revelation 19:20).

6.    The Battle of Gog and Magog

In the first part of the tribulation, a great army from the north, in alliance with several other countries from the Middle East and Africa, attacks Israel and is defeated by God’s supernatural intervention (Ezekiel 38–39).
7.   The Abomination of Desolation

The word "abomination" in the Greek means something that is disgusting and is oftentimes associated with that which is defiling and/or idolatrous. In the Hebrew, the meaning is the same and is associated with pagan idols. The word "desolation" means to be in a condition that is uninhabitable and devastated. In all biblical uses, the term can be understood as the "abomination causing the desolation."

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains. . . For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew 24: 15, 16, 21).
9.     The Binding of Satan

Satan will be bound and held in a bottomless pit for the next 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1–3).

10.    The Millennial Kingdom

Jesus Himself will rule the world, and Jerusalem will be the capital. This will be a 1,000-year period of peace and prosperity on earth (Revelation 20; Isaiah 60–62).

Memorial sacrifices will be offered in a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem (Ezekiel 40–48).

11.    The Last Battle

At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be released from his prison for a short time. He will deceive the nations once again, and there will be a rebellion against the Lord that will be quickly defeated (Revelation 20:7–10).

Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, never to reappear.

12.    The Great White Throne Judgment

All those in hell will be brought forth, and all the wicked from all eras of history will be resurrected to stand before God in a final judgment (Revelation 20:11–15). The verdicts are read, and all of sinful humanity is cast into the lake of fire.
8.    The Judgment of the Nations

Christ will judge the survivors of the tribulation, separating the righteous from the wicked as “sheep” and “goats” (Matthew 25:31–46).

The righteous will enter the Millennial Kingdom; the wicked will be cast into hell.
13.         The New Creation

God completely remakes the heavens and the earth. It is at this time that God wipes away all tears and there will be no more pain, death, or sorrow. The New Jerusalem descends from heaven, and the children of God will enjoy eternity with Him (Revelation 21–22).
